All applications must be submitted by 11:50 post meridiem, June 15 .
PURPOSE
The Lowell C. Kruse Healthy Choices. Healthy Lives. scholarship was established in 2009 to provide fiscal aid annually to a freshman alumnus student from the region enrolled in a minimal of 6 hours per semester in a study area leading to improved quality of life sentence for the residents of our region. Examples include, but are not limited to : Health Care Administration, early Childhood Development, Not-For-Profit Management, and educational Leadership.
Lowell C. Kruse, President and Chief Executive Officer of Heartland Health from 1984 to 2009, is well known regionally and nationally for his commitment to quality and heat for improving the quality of life within the region.
Lowell successfully led the fusion of two residential district hospitals into a regional medical center nationally recognized for quality. ( Heartland Health is now known as Mosaic Life Care. ) He continues to champion initiatives to advocate for higher levels of department of education to improve the health and wellbeing of communities.
To honor his leadership and committedness to excellence, the Lowell C. Kruse Healthy Choices. Healthy Lives Scholarship was established by Heartland Health and is managed by Heartland Foundation, a 501 ( c ) 3 populace charity dedicated to empowering children and adults to build healthier, more livable communities .
CRITERIA
accept and enrolled in an accredit graduate grade program ( minimum of 6 hours per semester ) in a qualify sphere that will lead to better quality of life for the residents of our region.
Maintain an excellent Grade Point Average.
scholarship recipients must agree to complete a paid internship between their first and moment year.
Provide references and recommendations .REFERENCE LETTERS

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
The $ 10,000 scholarship may be used at any prison term while the scholar is enrolled.
eruditeness recipients must agree to complete a paid internship ( not to exceed $ 5,000 ) between their foremost and second base year.
